Uncle Pete’s Yard Sale is a grab bag, a forgotten and beloved toy, an old comfy sweater, pictures of old friends, a random stop that reacquaints you with treasures you may have lost, a jumble of songs and music played brand new. They look for hidden gems, lost diamonds, forgotten rubies, music that asks only for another chance at life. They are a sextet who enjoy changing things around and changing the narrative. The band loves to explore the rapture of classic tunes, songs, in the way of the Jam, the Good Ole Grateful sound, the echos of the jazz forefathers, the timbre of their progressive mothers, and the urgency of full tilt rock and roll. Mike and Laura are a decade-long musical duo performing a diverse repertoire encompassing modern and classic folk, rock, pop, and country music. They are happily married residing in Hopewell, New Jersey with their two children.
Beyond their musical endeavors, both individuals actively engage in music education, imparting their knowledge to aspiring musicians in their local community. Their versatility extends to solo performances, collaborative duets, and full band engagements at bars, restaurants, festivals, weddings, and private events in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and beyond traveling throughout the United States hoping to spread their passion for music to audiences everywhere
The Shaxe
The Shaxe (pronounced SHAKES) are a central New Jersey based alt-southern
rock/funk party band which was formed in the fall of 1992 by guitarist Mike Liskowitz and Doug Drake, bassist/guitarist Dan Coffey and drummer Brian Impellizeri. This core unit would also platoon some recurring local musicians to broaden their sound including Sam Simmons, Peter Borg and Tom Stange on percussion, harp and sax respectively.
Over the course of the following decade, the band honed their signature sound borrowing from (and covering) grass roots rock of jam bands most notably The Allman Brothers and Grateful Dead. The Shaxe are also well-known for the vast variety of their live covers as well, which in addition have included everything from Pink Floyd, Neil Young, Springsteen, The Beatles, Stones, Elvin Bishop, The Outlaws, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Johnny Cash, James Brown. and Marshall Tucker, to more contemporary artists such as Phish, Cracker, Wilco, Stone Temple Pilots, Jayhawks, and Nirvana among many others.
The Shaxe have since played in the high hundreds of shows in the tri-state area drawing a good fan base at ski resorts in NY state and Vermont such as Lake Placid and Sugarbush. The band also just celebrated their 25th performance at Princeton Communiversity (now Porchfest) this past April.
The band has released 2 studio records; "Walkin Out My Soul", featuring Dave Dreiwitz (JRAD/Ween), Greg DiGesu (Wooden Soldiers) and Chris Harford among others, and the sophomore follow-up called “Lowdown Overload", as well as a 3-disc live release entitled “Live At Northwoods" which was recorded in Lake Placid where the band has been a local favorite for years.
In the Fall of 2015 Singer/Guitarist Brian Quinn joined the band and is still to this day, who also has added some musical diversity with his abilities on lap steel, mandolin, and harmonica as well.
Shaxe music has also been featured on WDRE Morristown, WXPN Philly, the Pipeline Show out of Trenton NJ as well as several other college stations including WXAC Reading and WPRB, Princeton where they have performed live on air several times.

Scott Ivory reimagines familiar songs with electric guitar, live looping, and a laid-back blend of reggae, funk, and soul. His sound sets the perfect mood—equal parts groove and ambiance—ideal for feet-tapping conversations and moments where the music lifts the vibe without demanding the spotlight. It’s a one-man jam session that slips seamlessly into the background, then pulls you in with a hook you forgot you loved.

Sourland Mountain String Band
The Sourland Mountain String Band is a Bluegrass band formed in the heart of Sourland Mountain Region. The group consists of: Arleigh V. Closser (Mandolin, Guitar), Stefan Gromoll (Guitar, Fiddle), Nikolai Margulis (Banjo), and Mark Young (Bass). The band plays classic and contemporary songs in the Bluegrass tradition, and their music features tight three-part vocal harmonies and fast-paced instrumental solos.

Puppet show! Puppet show! Bread & Puppet Theater is excited to announce our spring tour, traveling from Vermont down the Eastern Seaboard. As always, the show will include puppets large and small, music, up-to-the-minute politics, and spectacles not to be missed. After the show Bread & Puppet will serve its famous sourdough rye bread with aioli, and Bread & Puppet’s “Cheap Art” – books, posters, postcards, pamphlets and banners from the Bread & Puppet Press – will be for sale.
Of our latest show, The Obligation to Live, director Peter Schumann reminds us that, “The obligation to be alive and act against the actors of death is just one of humanity’s many obligations. We also have the obligation to courage and the obligation to plant garlic in the rubble of the empire. Possibilitarians know this and bring giants, dragons, horses, sheep, butterflies, and the exact dance of death required for this exact moment.”
