The Fermenters Quintet

Born nearly 15 years ago along the banks of the Delaware River, The Fermenters began as a side project formed by members of several tri-state bands. The diverse backgrounds of the seasoned musicians created an eclectic mix of styles and influences.

 The original lineup consisted of Chris Lelli on acoustic guitar and vocals, John Smith on electric guitar, Seth Mandel on violin, mandolin, and vocals, Joe Borthwick on upright bass and vocals, and Kerry Watson on drums. The three vocalists also share songwriting duties.

 Their original songs are complemented by covers of artists such as Bill Monroe, Gil Scott-Heron, Taj Mahal, Los Lobos, and many others.

 While Chris and Seth have continued performing as The Fermenters Trio, playing bars, breweries, and backyard BBQs, this show marks the first reunion of the original lineup in three years.
